The good news is, if you were not at fault, the other person's auto insurance is liable for your injuries, not your medical insurance.

The state we live in has a very specific traffic law that puts me at fault because of something I was doing (nothing illegal! No substances or texting involved! Also no lewd conduct! I just don’t want to identify my state by naming the exact very specific statute because it’s so dumb it’s probably something ONLY we do) regardless of whether the other driver was obeying the law. So no :(

Well, that’s shitty. That’s the word I use,too. I had a car murdered once a decade ago, and just a couple of weeks ago we had one murdered in a parking lot. No injuries in either and the other driver was clearly at fault.
