Today I made as much money over a weekday lunch as I'd been accustomed to making on a Friday night at The Ritzier. And I didn't have to do any heavy lifting or wait unreasonably long for any of my guests' food to come out. Nothing was made wrong. Everybody I served enjoyed their meal. And I didn't bus a single table. Also, today's Soup Of The Day was gluten-free and DELICIOUS, and I ate my fill of it for free and enjoyed it very much.
The new job, whatever its' blog-name may end up being, is pretty much my idea of heaven.
Best of all, after work Hotter and I went out and bought all of the school supplies the younger two MFA Children needed, as well as some wine for mama to enjoy while she labeled things and a few essential groceries, and then I came home and repaid the first of the MFA Microlenders.
It may all fall to pieces tomorrow, as is always the case, but today, friends? Today was a very good day.
And how are all of YOU?
P.S. My cold is getting better, and now seems like it will depart without medical assistance. Which is, obviously, A BEAUTIFUL THING.
