So Thanksgiving came early, in that I turned in my two-week notice at The Ritzier today.
Nothing major went down, it was just another shitty day, and we were busy, and there were three managers standing around watching two employees scramble to meet the guests' needs and yelling at us for not doing more, faster, while they did nothing to help. Meh. Once the rush was past, the other server and I compared notes and realized that Uncle Bad Touch had done the same "maybe accidental but no apology and didn't FEEL accidental" thing to her, and we both wrote out our two-week notice and high-fived on it because we both have other jobs and were pretty disgruntled BEFORE we got manhandled by that clown.
Apparently one other server already put in HER notice on Friday (no word on whether anyone touched her no-no place as of yet), and of the remaining three who work in the morning, two of them are planning to give notice in the near future and the third today told management that maybe they'd see them for their next shift and maybe they wouldn't.
At this rate, Uncle Bad Touch is going to need to find a way to carry a tray and wait tables pronto!
I went straight from work to the dentist today and had my teeth cleaned so as to take advantage of the insurance while I have it, and an x-ray of the current Bad Tooth looked fine (although MFA Dentist said I'm not nuts, the thing IS loose) so hopefully the bite adjustment he did will encourage it to tighten back up in the socket. Which would be grand.
And now, back to my flashcards, which I am VERY motivated to study!
WHOOOOOOOOOO!!! This is me standing up and cheering you on. As a fellow member of the Disgruntled and Poorly Treated Employee Club, I am so proud of you and your co-workers for walking out. Or giving two weeks for a walk out. Bonus points for using all of the insurance while you have it.
I hope Uncle Bad Touch gets burnt on a hot tray when a bratty customer trips him.
