effing Columbus

So I am pretty much turning into a work-zombie, and did forty hours just Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, when I almost quit a job over something ridiculous, and then last night? I finally got eight hours of sleep and suddenly at least 90% of my co-workers deserve to have heads again and the list of things I hate no longer includes everything!
There is always room on said list for Christopher Columbus, however. Because the things I am waiting for that should pretty much have already arrived via USPS include such fabulous goodies as:

* an el cheapo $11 French press
* checks (multiple)
* a new charging/data cable for The Precious
* the backup new charging/data cables I ordered elsewhere because the first one has taken so long
* pharmacy gift cards from e-Bay

Having forgotten about America's favorite directionally-challenged invader, I expected many of those things to be there when I got home last night. BUT NO.

This post made me laugh.

I ran to the mall on my lunch break yesterday to get Ezra a sweater vest (wedding this weekend) and ended going a bit ape over all the sales. WHO KNEW?!

Huh. I didn't know there were sales on Columbus day. I had work and school anyways, then ended up spending 8 hours being miserable because WHO KNEW that a college's health services is actually a mandated reporter. FML.
