Man oh man, y'all. I really do make a concerted effort not to blog about work beyond the occasional hilarious anecdote that has nothing to do with Actual Business or Things Controversial. And so that said: WORK STUFF. OMG. GAHHHH! It'll all work out in the end I am sure, but there is some serious scheduling fuckery going on right now at my main job, and it is giving me agida. Fortunately I am getting enough hours at my second job that there shouldn't be any immediate negative effect on my household, but I'm really, REALLY glad I have that second job right about now.
To take my mind off of the aforementioned fuckery, I used some hoarded Amazon.com credits from Swagbucks to purchase this movie, which several people have told me I simply HAD to watch given that I often work in the service industry, and Hotter and I watched it last night after I got home from work. Overall, it was freaking HILARIOUS. I was, however, disappointed to find that the r-word made a couple of appearances, and there was a specific dig at people with Down Syndrome, which is never okay in my book. I'm kind of torn, because other than that I really enjoyed the movie, and honestly it was an accurate depiction of the demographic the main characters are a part of (I hear the r-word at work on the regular, and call people on it as often as I can without being a total dick, but that doesn't seem to have discouraged any of the usual culprits). Fifteen years ago I would've been all "TWO THUMBS WAYYYYY UP, ZOMG YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE." Now...less so, although I laughed a lot.
How are all of YOU? Tell me something good.
