Oookay. I finally got in touch with someone at Anthem, and they've done the same thing they did to me last time (raised the cost, not informed me, kept taking my money, and canceled my coverage). I'm starting to think they're assholes, actually. But as long as I pay the past-due amount as well as the currently-due amount by the 31st, they'll reinstate the coverage and all is roses. The problem with that is that I don't actually have the total amount handy, since I usually pay during the 31-day "grace period" because of the timing of my Anthem bill-date, and already paid them this month once (I'm like, thirty bucks short, and why yes that IS incredibly irritating!). So I can't do anything about it right now, but when I receive next week's unemployment I'll be able to fix my insurance situation, and hopefully I just don't get sick or anything before then. On the bright side, then I'll be all caught up and paying on time instead of during the grace period.
I...need to go and nap off the stress hormones. I haven't had a cataplexy-attack in ages, but the health insurance thing took my legs right out from under me. YOU ARE NOT MAKING ME ANY HEALTHIER, ANTHEM!
Health insurance: ur doin it rong.
