I just found a new blog to read, and for the first time EVER subscribed to a blog via e-mail (I'm a feed-reader kind of girl, but it's for a good cause):
Figure One: This lady can write!
Amy Rauch Neilson is in the process of writing a memoir that promises to be an amazing piece of creative non-fiction, the story of the BRCA gene and its effect on four generations of women in her family. She has an agent, and now she needs a publisher; to get a publisher, she has to prove that she (as the writer of this amazing story--I seriously think this could be the next The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks) has a platform.
Amy is trying to get 5,000 (the number her agent threw at her) subscribers by March 3rd, which would have been her four-year cancer-free date. Unfortunately, about three weeks ago Amy got the news that her cancer was back, but she wants to get this story out there and I really want to read it, so I subscribed. You should, too! Because that would put Amy one subscriber closer to her goal and give you another awesome blog to read. I told you it was win-win! Just click the artwork (which was done by Amy's neice!) to get to her site and type your e-mail address into the box in the upper-left sidebar. Please?

DONE!

Done and I stole your post but referenced it because I couldn't get the link working on mine.
I still have 3 more months to go before I get to hear "It's been 5 years you don't have to worry anymore" I was "blessed" with the type of cancer that does not reappear after 5 years.
