The surgery was successful and Hotter is stable. They're going to leave him on the IV antibiotics and just watch him for a couple of days; it's still possible they'll have to go back in, wash him out, do some work on his liver and install a temporary drain but they're trying to be conservative and keep it minimally-invasive given his immunosuppression and general precarious health right now.
