I owe y'all some stuff (including a recipe and a giveaway, neither of which I have forgotten), but since it's the one-monthiversary of the start of National Delurking Week, I thought I'd do my Delurker Link List! I already visited the delurkers' blogs, and commented where possible, but here without further ado are my 2010 Delurkers:
Katie - We go waaay back, Katie and I. I think we "met" in 2005 (haven't met her face-to-face, although maybe someday!) and I've been reading her ever since. She's embarking on a new chapter in her life (newly single mama settling into a new-ish career as a nurse) and if she ever starts blogging regularly again (I'm like the Jewish Mother she never had, y'all, do you see that, the GUILT?) you should read her, because she has an awesome narrative voice.
Angela - I think Angela read this blog the first time around...in addition to blogging she gives good Twitter! Welcome to watch my kids any time :)
Katie W. - Another old-school blog-friend, Katie is a sweet, slyly funny, and extremely TALENTED (seriously--she's knit us things before and is an ARTIST with fiber! Go and look at her blog for pictures of her knitting projects!) girl from the UK. We commiserate sometimes over teaching and she keeps me from driving my kids' teachers insane when I lose my head over things. Gets big love from the MFA household for her amazing care packages, which generally include such goodies as British sweets for the children, Very Good Chocolate for mama, bath bombs, trinkets for my "break glass in case of emergency" distraction hoard of small toys, and knitwear made with love and her own lily-white hands (she made Big Child a pair of Spiderman mittens that are the envy of all his friends)!
terri c. - Who occasionally goes by a pseudonym in the comments section :) Terri is a longtime reader who also happens to be a screamingly hilarious writer. Go and read her blog! She has a gift for euphemisms, and writes with humor, compassion, and an amazing perspective on her work as a hospice chaplain.
k - no link, because she likes to remain mysterious. But she's always reading and we have amazing conversations on g-chat. Much love, lady!
Rayne of Terror, a.k.a. "devivo" - Another old blog-friend, fabulous commenter, entertaining and intelligent blogger, and mother of my Tiny Boyfriend (Quinn, a.k.a. giganto-baby). Also notable for her incredible lactational prowess (all of that chub on my Tiny Boyfriend is breastmilk, y'all).
Mel - no link as of yet, although there are rumors that she's starting a blog. One of the Innernets Who Saved Christmas in 2008.
May - yet another smart cookie and screamingly funny writer, although I wish the universe would give her some happier material; I regularly spit things out onto myself reading her blog and Hotter enjoys hearing excerpts. Poor May has the worst reproductive luck of anyone I know, and is a fellow bleeder (without a formal diagnosis as of yet although I think she may have what we have and we've exchanged e-mails about it) who makes me very grateful that I had kids young and then had a hysterectomy.
Hairy Farmer Wifey - This lady is SO funny! I say that about each of these gals but it's true! Her son Harry reminds me a lot of Middle Child, but MORE accident prone, the poor little guy...I <3 Harry. SO cute. If only he'd stop falling and hurting himself :( Her pictures of cakes she decorates make me drool. Someday I will take Britain by storm and meet Katie W., May, and HFW for drinks. Someday.
J. - a fellow Hopeful Parents writer (although I missed my day yesterday because I forgot--I think I've remembered my day all of ONCE...poor Christina always has to remind me. She's going to let me know if a "hole" comes up in the schedule and I'll be sure to tell y'all to go and look if I post something over there). J. is another special-needs parent, and I love reading her posts from the trenches.
RocketScientista - she found me via JustArikia's Twitter stream and delurked, and I clicked over and WOW! She seems like she'd be VERY cool to have a beverage with. Smart women are hot. I have very hot commenters here.
Lyrehca - Named after one of my prescription drugs. I lurked on her blog for ages but recently commented on a post of hers about hormones and their affect on blood sugar (apparently some endos dismiss it whereas my own told me as soon as he diagnosed me with reactive hypoglycemia that progesterone makes your blood sugar wonky; this makes lots of sense given that it drives gestational diabetes and I'm fortunate that he told me this because before the surgery to remove The Tumor Formerly Known As Steve, a.k.a. The Steviction, I would have crazy lows during the latter portion of my cycles). Lyrehca is a Type I Diabetic who blogs about her diabetes and its impact on her fertility. She has one adorable son and is currently trying for number two. Everyone should go and buy her book.
Queen Bee - she found me through Not Me Monday! and is RAISING HER KIDS RIGHT, DANG IT! Sadly her comments section rejected my advances, so I sent her an e-mail :)
Melissa - another blog-friend from way back who sent me a VERY cool t-shirt years ago! Melissa is awesome.
Brigindo - I want to be her when I grow up. She's an awesome mother, teacher, and academic who posts food-blogging pictures that make me hungry. Our lives seem to be following a similar-ish trajectory, and if I end up like her in ten or fifteen years that's a-okay with me!
Dianna - blogless, but delurked anyway and seems like a cool person.
Beth - longtime reader and apparent lurker extraordinaire, but I'm onto her now! I love me some librarians.
Fawn - I love this lady, and not just because she sent me some awesome tea one time when I won a contest on her blog. Her daughter Jade is on the ketogenic diet, which requires a level of precision I don't think I could handle. She's another allergy mom, and we need to swap some recipes. Also mother of Halia, future wife of my youngest son :)
Ivan Toblog (a.k.a. IT) - found me through The Checkout Girl, who is hilarious, and left a link. Funny stuff, y'all!
Allison - another blogless wonder, but she delurked and I <3 her for it!

Thanks for the link to terri c, I've often seen her comments on your blog but never thought to check out if she had a blog. Great!
I didn't delurk since you hear from me quite often. I've loved your writing from the first time I found your very old blog and followed here, there and every where.
You're one of the few people who can actually make me run to the dictionary to get the full impact of your post and then make me howl with laughter.
You Rock

Aww- thanks! I'd totally watch the kids too (all of you people live too far away, or is it me?) And yes, I did read the blog the first time around - was glad to "find" you again! (would have used by google but it kept including my last initial. too much info....)
